Job Overview:
To control the reporting, financial status and procedures of UAB “Finansinės paslaugos “Contis”, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements to maximize profitability and minimize risk.

Your Role:
- Setting up, maintaining and supervising appropriate accounting systems, controls and compliance procedures to deal effectively with financial transactions relating to clients, accountholders, suppliers, banking, cash and payroll
- Support for relevant businesses regulatory requirements, including Safeguarding Policies, Capital Monitoring and other requirements of the regulator.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts UAB “Finansinės paslaugos “Contis”, ensuring filing of all returns on a timely basis. Assess the impact of future accounting standards and changes to the regulatory environment. Coordinating annual audit to both local timelines and delivery into group audit requirements
- Prepare monthly management accounts & supporting information for both the Management Board and for the Entities parent company.
- Management of Transfer Pricing Documentation related to the Entity to local standards as required.
- Provide reporting data as needed to external stakeholders, including (but not limited to), Bank of Lithuania, banking partners.
- Ensuring the company adheres to Lithuanian regulatory requirements, best accounting practice, financial and commercial management procedures to ensure successful implementation of the agreed policies
- Own finance, treasury and tax related policies and procedures of the company, ensure coordination of these internal policies and procedures with the EMI/group internal documents
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of financial management reports including but not limited to company operating plans, budgets, forecasts and variance.
- Controlling day-to-day cash movements including bank transfers and cash flow planning to facilitate business operations.
- Oversight of checking / input of supplier and customer data to accounting systems in a timely and accurate manner. Liaise with external accounting provider with a view to bringing certain operations in-house.
- Prepare VAT reports and returns. Prepare and submit corporation tax returns.
- Ensuring procedures written up for all tasks and functions including support for regulatory activity, risk assessments and compliance requirements
- Take part in the committees and working groups of UAB “Finansinės paslaugos “Contis” and the Group as delegated.
- Support for Group Finance Operations and Reporting as part of a wider Group Finance Team
- Contributing to the continued success and efficiency of the company by carrying out additional ad-hoc tasks & project work as may be required from time-to-time
We'd Love to See:
• Qualified accountant/finance controller with at least 3-5 years post qualified experience in the financial services sector, preferably in Payments and Banking
• Digitally literate across MS Office suite, in particular Excel
• Strong interpersonal skills and good communicator across a wide variety of stakeholders
• Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
• Self-starter who can manage and structure their own time effectively
• A completer-finisher with good attention to detail
• Flexible attitude
• Use of initiative and proactive in approach
• Teamwork to ensure smooth running of both the department and the company
• Continual improvement focus
